Flies flies flies and moscas!

Well, I thought i'd write a quick post about flies. (tammy...you thought i was kidding weren't you?). We are having an incredibly huge invasion of flies here...and not just ordinary flies but flies that seem to LOVE to crawl all over humans, espessially faces. We put fly strips up everywhere and there are still flies flyin' all over! Here are a few things i've learned about flies:
  • they only live for 24 hours...but mate quickly enough so that the baby flies look like normal flies in the morning...ugh!
  • they don't like bleach on counters...so we put bleach on our counters
  • they are dumb enough to fly into a fly strip and i enjoy watching them squirm on it trying ot be set free hahaha
  • they are slower in the morning...kinda like us humans :)
Also...we had a bat in our house the other night!! And we had no power for a few days because the transformer blew....therefore at night...espessially since it was a rainy and very cloudy few days...it would get EXTREMELY dark. Well....just imagine two single girls, running around our house trying to find the bat, but then finding it and getting scared cuz it would head bomb us and neither of us really felt like it would be fun to get rabies....so we trapped it in a room until the next day......then got brave and caught it in a jar. I wanted to kill it. But others didn't. So my roommate let it free....now mr. bat....pleassse go eat the flies!!! :)

Hahahha thought you all would like those random stories :)

Have a great...flieless and batless night :)

New Blog and New Pictures

Soo...my other blog site is shutting down? After all that work to get it going..haha! Oh well.

Things are going great! I've been pretty busy relief-parenting, and also just got back from a few days off! Me, 3 other single missionaries here, and 2 of the boys from the ranch traveled about 7 hours north/west (i think? toward Guatemala), to a place called Copan. This is a touristy little town, that has many Old Mayan Ruins. It was a very fun, relaxing (which was much needed!) trip, and also a good time to continue to develop relationships with the boys we brought with us.

The pictures from the trip are here: http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=2017743&l=91efa&id=110900161

Not too much new news besides that! Life continues to be absolutely great. Of course, always has it's challenging times...but nothing can ever separate us from the Love of our Lord Christ Jesus!!!

Would love to hear from any and all of you!!

Because of Jesus, Sara
